Nothing in there about remembering the honored dead?
I am sure there will be a traditional Memorial Day proclamation tomorrow or Monday. But in the meantime, nothing wrong with trying to help the living?
As a direct result of Tony’s Safer at Home edict, deaths by drug abuse are up, deaths by domestic violence are up, deaths by suicide are up, and deaths by postponed “elective” medical procedures will surely be up. If Tony helps the living any more, he’ll have to turn that 24 million dollar empty emergency medical facility he had built at State Fair Park into a giant morgue.
Every preventable death is tragic, so thank you for illustrating that the state and the nation have insufficient and ineffective polices around health care, mental health care, substance abuse, and domestic violence.
Meanwhile: (headline from JSOnline): State death toll from COVID-19 surpasses 500 mark.
