    1. Yeah, as opposed to the six that Feingold agreed to.

But of course Ron Johnson’s not avoiding answering questions….he’s a Republican, and in your eyes he can do no wrong!

  1. “Ron Johnson’s campaign didn’t make him available for questions.”

    – WBAY Green Bay, 7/30/10

“Ron Johnson, another Republican candidate, did not take questions from reporters.”

    – FOX 11 Green Bay, 7/30/10

“We’ve had twelve opportunities to debate Ron Johnson and he has turned down every single one of them. And that, I think is just unfair to the people of this state. The people of Wisconsin deserve to be able to hear both the candidates side by side…”

    – Dave Westlake to WISN’s Mike Gousha, 9/12/10

“Ron Johnson, the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, indicated on Wednesday that he would not appear at a scheduled debate this Sunday on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.”

    – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 9/15/10

“…Johnson walked away from a group of reporters asking him about the number of debates he planned to attend.”

    – WTMJ, 9/15/10

“Johnson declined to speak with The Northwestern…”

    – Oshkosh Northwestern, 9/18/10

    “Johnson was unavailable…”

    – WISN Milwaukee, 10/4/10

“His campaign did not respond to a request for an interview.”

    – Boston Globe, 10/5/10

  2. If you look at the history of all modern elections, the candidate behind always wants to debate more because they have nothing to lose and the candidate who is ahead, doesn’t.

    Three debates seems pretty standard.

And when did I ever say he could do no wrong? I could say the same of you with Russ Feingold. A person listening to liberals talk about Russ Feingold and you’d think he was ready for sainthood.

    1. A good candidate will always make their self available for questions. Johnson’s refusal to do so does not bode well for him as a potential senator.

      1. Hopefully, it looks like we’ll get the chance to find out. Oh whoops, I don’t want to be accused of “celebrating.” My apologies to Sen. Feingold if he’s reading this.

  3. What you libs don’t seem to understand is that Russ is losing Mr Johnson does not need to appease Russ and his little group of supporters. Russ is lucky that he was even given those four debates, the people of Wisconsin no longer care to hear nor believe anything this man has to say. He is best to stay with is kind in Dane county and the couple of southeastern counties at least there people still believe his dog and pony show.
