Emerge Wisconsin, the program that has trained 100 Democratic women to run for office, issued a press release yesterday announcing that twenty-seven alumnae of the Emerge program are running for elected office this fall, with twenty-two of those alumnae running for State Assembly.
“Twenty-two Emerge Wisconsin Alumnae running for State Assembly is a great testament of how our program successfully prepares Democratic women to run for office. The actions by Scott Walker and his administration have motivated Democratic women across the state to step up and run. We can’t wait to see our alumnae take office and help change the conversation in the State Assembly.” Wendy Strout, Emerge Wisconsin Executive Director.

Launched in 2007, Emerge was founded to create a legion of Democratic women leaders for generations to come. Emerge is the only organization in Wisconsin that provides Democratic women with the comprehensive training they need to achieve their political aspirations. If you know a woman you think would make a great elected official but who could use some help, you should refer them to Emerge Wisconsin.
I am very proud of all these Emerge women!
