Poverty Doesn’t Take A Day Off

The Democratic Congressional Leadership met with White House representatives to put together the next bill to provide financial assistance for those Americans suffering financial losses due to the pandemic.

They couldn’t come to an agreement yesterday, Saturday August 1st, despite the fact that the previous unemployment programs have expired.

They intend to continue negotiations tomorrow…but what about today? They are all in Washington. Why do they get a day off when we are in the middle of a health and financial catastrophe? They get plenty of days off over any given year. Why aren’t they working today?
