Here’s a few videos for your listening enjoyment.
First up is Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without U:”
Next up is “My Hero” by the Foo Fighters:
And finally a little more from the Foo Fighters. Here’s “The Pretender:”
Now I grew up during the “grunge” phase of rock, and thus I listened to my fair share of Nirvana and Pearl Jam, and at the risk of upsetting the rock gods, I’m inclined to believe Kurt Cobain was not the most talented member of Nirvana; that honor belongs to Dave Grohl – at least in my humble opinion.
I have been spending a lot of time recently listening to a band out of Montreal called “The Stills.” They’re not a new band, but their most recent effort, released a few months ago, is getting some airplay on better radio (I heard it first on WYMS, “Radio Milwaukee” – which I have to say, the handful of times I’ve been able to listen – is pretty darn good, and more recently on WXRT in Chicago) and is a really good album.
Also, the spoken word rap artists “The Streets”, hailing from the U.K., are also worth a listen. Their song “I think I love you more than you like me” really grows on you. Check them out.
I know, conservatives aren’t supposed to listen to anything other than crap. Where did I go wrong?
Bruce, who says conservatives can’t listen to anything other than crap? For that matter, one man’s crap is another man’s Bach or Beethoven.
