Earlier today Tom Michalski, the Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 21st Assembly District, announced the endorsement of his campaign by the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC), which represents approximately 98,000 public education employees in Wisconsin:
“I am truly honored to have received the support of WEAC on behalf of our amazing public school teachers,” Michalski said. “Wisconsin’s teachers deserve active and accountable representation in Madison. I have always championed our public schools and the hard working teachers that ensure our children get the education they need to go on to college and enable them to compete in a 21st century economy.”

“Every day I hear from people who are concerned about the future of education in Wisconsin and they are glad to see that someone with a strong background in public education wants to represent them. It is these types of personal conversations and connections with voters that fuel my campaign. I wake up every day excited to meet and talk with more of these great folks. I got into this race to bring active and accountable leadership to the 21st Assembly District and people recognize that.”
In addition to the endorsement by WEAC, Michalski’s campaign has also received endorsements this month from groups and unions such as the League of Conservation Voters, American Federation of Teachers, National Association of Nurses and Health Professionals, and the National Association of Social Workers.
