Perhaps Sen. Russ Feingold’s internal polling wasn’t too far off…
The St. Norbert College Survey Center poll shows Johnson ahead, 49 percent to 47 percent. The margin of error is 5 percentage points.
Other recent polls have shown Johnson with a slight lead. However, Feingold says his internal polling has been showing a virtual tie among likely voters.
The St. Norbert poll was sponsored by Wisconsin Public Radio and questioned 402 registered likely voters between October 12 and October 14, and while the sample size is obviously small, I don’t doubt the race between Sen. Feingold and Ron Johnson will be an absolute squeaker.
