From my email inbox comes the announcement of the next meeting for Kenosha’s chapter of Drinking Liberally:
Hello everyone,
We want to say thank you to everyone for attending the chapter meetings and helping this chapter grow.
Our next meeting will be Thursday, May 12th at 7:00pm and we will begin meeting the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:00pm.
We encourage all of you to spread the word about our new local chapter and encourage others to attend. As this chapter progresses, our goal is to arrange various speakers for future meetings. We will keep you updated about the details!
See you on the 12th!
Tyson and Marie Froh
If you live in or near Kenosha and you’d like to meet folks who share your progressive/liberal ideals, you should make plans to attend this meeting.
Great. For those who are also interested, I’ll be starting a political action group that meets in Meth Labs.
Good luck with that….not sure how many will want to show up to a meth lab.
I wish them much success. Drinking Liberally has done a lot to bring the progressive communities together around the country. I am one of the many former DL hosts that has gone on to serve their community as an elected official. Best of luck to them! And my thanks to Milwaukee DL for many years of good times and a great cause.
Where do they meet?
Why do they have to call it ” Drinking Liberally?” Why can’t it be called ” Progressively Drinking?”
Or, given the madness that is contemporary American life and my occasional dread that we’ve gone past the point of no return ” Left Drinking? “
You’d have to ask Justin Krebs, since he’s the one who came up with the whole idea…..I just took over hosting for Jason here in Milwaukee.
Because Progressively Drinking sounds like a pub crawl? LOL!
Ed,
That’s the idea! 🙂
