Dan Sebring: signs term limit pledge despite the fact that he’ll never be elected to Congress

Earlier today the campaign of Republican Congressional candidate Dan “mayonnaise sandwiches” Sebring announced Sebring had signed the U.S. Term Limits Constitutional Amendment pledge stating he will vote for a Constitutional amendment that would limit service for members of Congress to three terms in the House of Representatives and two terms in the Senate.

Thankfully, we here in the fourth Congressional district will never have to worry about Dan Sebring serving three terms in the House of Representatives, because he’s going to get absolutely crushed in 2012, just as he did in 2010.

  1. If elected, I will promise the Harold Stassen Amendment to the US Constitution limiting the number of times a failed candidate can waste ballot space by running repeatedly with no chance of success…

  2. Why do you relish beating up on a guy like Dan Sebring, an average guy running a small business, who isn’t afraid to step up to the plate and put his name out there in order to stand up for what he believes in?

Is it because your side has pretty much had its a– handed to it in almost every race in the last year that you feel the need to kick around the little guy in order to feel better about yourselves?

    1. The last time I checked, Dan Sebring was a public figure, and I fail to understand how pointing out the truth is “beating up” on him.

      1. Apparently so.

Roland doesn’t seem to understand the idea that Dan Sebring isn’t just some “average guy running a small business;” he’s a public figure.

Then again, considering Roland’s affiliation with Badger Blogger, I find it ironic that he’d call someone else out for “beating up on a guy.” Apparently Roland’s concern only extends to conservatives, while liberals are fair game.

        Hypocrite.

        1. Criticizing a policy stance is one thing…but you’re not doing that. You’re confident he’ll “never” be elected to Congress, so you’ve decided to kick him while he’s down. How noble. That’s pretty harsh is all I’m saying and I’m merely asking why you relish doing so.
If he were currently in a race against Gwen Moore, I’d have no problem with you going after him…it just seems a bit gratuitous to do so now.

As for hypocrisy…that would be you scolding me about blog civility while letting your peeps, like Jan Tessier, say things like:
“What’s pathetic is right-wing lying nutjobs who continue to post bullshit on lefty blogs while hiding their identities. You’d wet your pants if one of us met you face-to-face.”
While it’s true, many a time I’ve seen a Lefty I have laughed so hard I wet my pants, others may take that as a threat. And we all know how breathlessly you object to threats aimed at you, so try showing some consistency.

    2. Ass handed in almost every race in the last year? Where have I been? Take away last november’s debacle and I think we are looking at different elections Roland.
