Paul Ryan’s Latest Strategies

It seems Paul Ryan is de-emphasizing scaring America with his flawed class warfare plans to tax the middle class for Medicare in order to benefit the rich, at least a little.  Mr. Ryan’s plans aren’t changing, but his strategies are changing, just a bit, though the dishonesty and partisanship is still there as solid as can be.  He’s not asking the unemployed if they’d like some candy, at least lately, but he’s disrespecting the unemployed and the American middle class all the same.  And the guy can’t seem to say anything without wholescale partisanship.

Whhat are those strategies?  Straw men are central to them, and then lying about said strawmen.  Mr. Ryan claims that a 100% tax against rich people is uneffective, though zero people have advocated such a tax.  That’s a straw man, a rhetorical tactic that is itself a lie.  Lies are most central to Mr. Ryan’s campaign against the middle class, however, when he responds to constituents about the payroll tax.  But Mr. Ryan has mostly moved to bald partisanship in his public statements lately.

Who would lament the overthrow of Col. Ghaddafi in Lybia?  Paul Ryan does not, but he gives no credit to the policies of Barack Obama, and in statements of bald partisanship whines and complains about Mr. Obama’s actions.  Most Americans support Mr. Obama’s actions in Lybia, but Paul Ryan doesn’t let that stop his whining.

Mr. Ryan combines the strategies of building strawmen and whining partisanship when he discusses the Occupy Wallstreet movement, but adds the complaint that Mr. Obama is feeding on emotionalism when discussing OWS.  That’s a pile of crap, but Paul Ryan is not afraid of throwing a pile of crap in front of the electorate.

Paul Ryan can’t seem to talk to his own constituents without lies and partisanship, and it is time to replace him.  Please support Rob Zerban with $50 or so, as I did this past week.  I intend to volunteer for Mr. Zerban in the coming weeks and months to help us get rid of the career politician that Paul Ryan has become, and thus to blunt the effect of the special interests Mr. Ryan serves.
