I just heard on the radio today, that leaders are looking for another solutions to the debt crisis in Europe now that more countries (Italy, Spain etc.) are teetering on the edge. I think some sort of stimulus was suggested. It seems austerity has not prooved effective.
I think some kind of debt forgiveness or reset would make sense. I don’t think the banks would be happy, but maybe an economy that would help society as a whole could evolve. Probably too simplistic and unworkable, after all I’m no economist. I always felt the stock market was fictional ie. not based on anything real.
