  1. “The pig person” ??? Wow!! Have you got a lot of class….NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      1. Yeah, what was Phil thinking, huh, Smokey, Rush being THE class act that he is?

If it waddles like a pig, snorts like a pig, and gratuitously and falsely calls women “sluts” and “prostitutes” like a “PIG”, it’s a pig, Smokey, whether you like it or not. Nothing wrong with acknowledging, and articulating, reality.

The fact that he has sobered women up to the misogyny endemic on the Right is another part of reality with which you should try to come to terms, one of far greater significance than whether or not Phil has the temerity to acknowledge the well-evidenced reality that Rush Limbaugh is a fat-ass PIG.

  2. I misplaced my last comment, it should have been placed under ” Out of state investment banker”

  3. Wow I think I’m going to convert to being a liberal after hearing this story guys. Thanks you saved me

    1. Save the snark, Pete. You’re a lost cause, just as conservatism is, for that matter.

Anyway, Petey Pete, and just out of curiosity, what did the women in YOUR family have to say about The Drugster’s recent and misogynistic bout of “sluts”/”prostitutes” verbal diarrhea?

Regardless of what they may ACTUALLY have said out loud, I imagine that they’re converting to liberalism en masse right under your nose having heard what the Misogynist-In-Chief of the Republican Party had to say about Sandra Fluke.

Myopia is a bitch, Pete. So is misogyny.

You may not see “pig” written on The Drugster’s big, fat ass, but the women in your life do, and they are undoubtedly realizing that sexist pig-ism is endemic amongst male conservatives/wingnuts/Republicans.

  4. I don’t know the particulars of Rush’s (the band’s) licensing arrangements. However, if Rush (The radio program) licensed the rights to the songs through ASCAP or BMI, which would hold the rights, there’s nothing the band can do but complain.

Frankly, I suspect Rush (the Band) knows that, which explains why their “cease and desist” letter was sent to the media. If, however, Rush (the show) was using the songs without licensing them, it would be in the band’s interest to let him continue to do so and then sue him. Each instances of violation would subject Rush (the radio show) to additional damages.

    1. Well, according to the C&D:

The public performance of Rush’s music is not licensed for political purposes and any such use is in breach of public performance licenses and constitutes copyright infringement.

And that could certainly be part of a contract with ASCAP or BMI.

Peter Gabriel has also issued a C&D. I’m hoping that Chrissie Hind of the Pretenders does the same thing. That would take his theme song away…

    2. Jumped RIGHT over the whole “Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat [pig]” thing, huh, Superfly?

So, in all seriousness, Super Id, and just out of curiosity, what did the women in YOUR family have to say about The Drugster’s recent and misogynistic bout of “sluts”/”prostitutes” verbal diarrhea?

  5. Any broad that wants the tax payer to pay her $3000 to sleep around is a slut, Rush was right on and the Canadians who were once one of my favorite bands can suck it

    1. Rush was right on and the Canadians who were once one of my favorite bands can suck it

Oh I’m so pleased… for a minute I thought this wasn’t going to hurt. I’m so very glad it did…

I find it so amusing that a band that started out with such Randian fantasies (Anthem, 2112) has come around to denounce the King of Wingnuttia’s vile utterances.

      1. Nuance isn’t Not[anintellectual]’s strong suit, Phil.

Anyway, I imagine he’s busy stocking up on all the quality wingnut rock he can find

Shouldn’t take him any longer than eternity to find some.

in the meantime, I guess he could just suck on the barrel of Ted Nugent’s AK-47.

    2. Still a mindless, partisan hack, huh, Notalib?

Sandra Fluke’s Congressional testimony pertained to how “the pill” is used to deal with gynecological medical conditions like endometriosis. It had nothing to do with her sex life or anyone else’s sex life.

In point of fact, Limbaugh was objectively, demonstrably wrong. So are you, Notalib. As usual.

Anyway, it’s great to see your unique brand of knee-jerk, partisan idiocy back on display. Bray away, you Trogladyte, you.

I have to tell ya, Notalib. It is SO damn funny to see you pare down your playlist based upon little more than rank partisanship. (*laughing*) It’s JUST music, homeboy. Now, it’s Rush that has gotten your panties all up in a bunch. Not too long ago, you got the vapors when Tom Petty, whose music had, according to you, been “the soundtrack of [your] life”, similarly “let you down”. (*laughing*)

Notalib, I kinda doubt they care. (*laughing*) But, I guess your jettisoning them from your playlist is one of the ways that you vent all of that pent-up wingnut steam that constantly builds up in that little pinhead of yours, huh? Twit.

That said, I wonder what your wife and the rest of the women in your life, like your mother, your sisters, your daughters and your nieces, think about misogynistic statements like the one that you vomited into your comment up above. And I wonder what they think about what the Republican Party’s Misogynist-In-Chief, Rush Limbaugh, had to say about Sandra Fluke and women. I doubt that you have even the remotest clue. And I suspect that the reason for that is that your head is way too far up your conservative, reactionary, Trogladyte ass.

“Broad”, Notalib? Seriously? Like Rush, Mark, you’re truly an idiot. . .AND a misogynist.

I have a feeling that once Zach gets wind of your comment above, your return is going to be pretty short-lived.

Don’t let the door hit you in your fat ass on the way back out.

I have a deep, abiding respect for women and believe that birth control is a fundamental part of any comprehensive healthcare plan. And I support single payer, too.

Vote Obama 2012!! And Recall Scott Walker while you’re at it!

  6. Let’s not forget Limbaugh’s support for Joseph Kony, support which he offered based on little more than the fact that the name of Kony’s armed gang of hooligans had the word “Lord” in it (“Lord’s Resistance Army”). Well, that AND the all important, Obama Derangement Syndrome-fueled fact that President Obama, Kenyan Socialist Muslim that he is, had ordered United States special operations troops into Uganda to track Kony down and put an end to the rape, murder, kidnapping and sex slavery that Kony was employing to “protect” Christians from Muslims.

While Limbaugh is, in fact, a sexist pig, he is also a racist, partisan PIG in the most generic sense, just an appalling human being who spews garbage day in and day out with little regard for the fact that his listeners believe and internalize his poisonous, hateful swill.

As we appropriately go after him for the arrogant and reprehensible misogyny he displayed with respect to Sandra Fluke, and women, in general, recently, let us not, for an instant, forget the danger that Limbaugh has always posed, and will continue to pose as long as he is allowed to broadcast.

Be sure to join the effort to get rid of Limbaugh once and for all by contacting his advertisers, as well as the company that employs him, Clear Channel, and complaining, by signing petitions being sent to his advertisers, to Clear Channel and the FCC, by contacting local radio stations broadcasting Limbaugh in your area and complaining about the content of his show, his comments regarding Sandra Fluke, in particular, and by complaining directly to the FCC.

There any number of good diaries to be found at which explain the nuts and bolts of doing all of the above, as well as links to various petitions and complaint forms.

Step up, and do what you can to kick Limbaugh right in the ‘nads.

  7. The following is an epitaph of sorts written by the author for his father. It is also an epitaph of sorts for Flush, for conservatism/rightwingism/take-back-my-country-ism, as well, written by someone who was raised, and forced to listen to Limbaugh, by a father who listened to Flush religiously, and who, according to the author, was also a sociopath.

    [An excerpt]:

“I do not mistake my father for being like all Limbaugh fans, or all conservatives–I’ve known right-wingers of all the stripes. But there are similarities. I’ve heard one too many homophobic comments, one too many xenophobic rants. One too many deluded or conspiratorial descriptions of our economic-political system. They’re a sad lot, burning on hatred and bitterness at life passing them by.

Who will be at Rush Limbaugh’s funeral? I almost don’t care anymore about the obscene amount of money that huckster, that advertising prostitute has tucked away. He is an empty vessel: only a little more than prescription drugs, a dwindling fan base, eternal insecurity and wrath.

I envision in the year 2020 an America having undergone another demographic shift, and a political hangover for the Republican Party, and decent progress from medicine to LGBT rights. If Limbaugh is still around by then, I fail to see how he will have become anything more than a forgotten Coughlin, neither loved nor relevant.”

I think the author is right about all of that, and I find no small measure of solace in it as we fight the battles we now fight.

  8. Forgotten? Nah. The idiots Missouri politicians – namely Steve Tilley – are putting a bust of the pig in the capitol building as a Missouri Hall of Fame inductee. Should be infamy. How is that for telling Missouri women we care absolutely nothing about you?
