Emerge Wisconsin Welcomes Two New Members to the Board of Advisors

Yesterday Emerge Wisconsin hosted Kathy Groob, the author of “Pink Politics,” as part of Emerge Wisconsin’s “Pink Politics event. During the event, Emerge announced the addition of two new members to the Emerge Wisconsin Board of Advisors, with Democratic State Representatives Penny Bernard Schaber and Sandy Pasch having accepted invitations to the Emerge Wisconsin Board of Advisors. State Rep. Bernard Schaber is an Emerge Alumna from the group’s inaugural class, and she is also the first Emerge Wisconsin alumna to win elected office. In accepting her invitation to Emerge Wisconsin’s Board of Advisers, Rep. Bernard Schaber said, “As an Emerge Alumna, I am honored to be on the Board of Advisors. I look forward to supporting Emerge and to encouraging more Democratic women to run for elected offices. I am a proud graduate and now a proud advisor to this program that has turned out many amazing Democratic candidates and elected officials.”

Also joining the Emerge Wisconsin Board of Adviser is Democratic State Rep. Sandy Pasch, a longtime supporter of Emerge. “As a long time supporter of Emerge, it has been amazing participating in the development of some of our current and future elected women. I am proud to be included among those who serve in an advisory role to an organization that is helping to fight this war on women by training more Democratic women to run for office. I look forward to continuing my involvement in the growth of Emerge Wisconsin,” said Rep. Pasch.

Here’s some background on Emerge Wisconsin:

Launched in 2007, Emerge is the only organization in Wisconsin that provides Democratic women with the comprehensive training they need to achieve their political aspirations. Emerge Wisconsin is part of Emerge America, a national movement and premier training program that addresses the under-representation of women in office at the local, state, and federal level. There are Emerge programs in ten states: Arizona, California, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, and Wisconsin. Emerge was founded to create a legion of Democratic women leaders for generations to come.

If you want to see more strong women get elected to office, you should strongly consider supporting Emerge Wisconsin
