Meet Scott Michalak, first-time candidate taking on Joel Kleefisch

I’m a proud Democrat, and I’m going to do what I can to get the word out about candidates whom I support. Scott Michalak is one such candidate. I like him because he’s pro-collective bargaining, pro-environment, pro-renewable energy, pro-education, pro-Badger Care, pro-Senior Care, pro-Planned Parenthood, and pro-women’s rights.

Michalak hopes to un-seat incumbent Joel Kleefisch, Republican, in Wisconsin’s District 38, but he can’t do that unless voters know who he is and where he stands on the issues. To that end, Michalak will hold a Meet and Greet on April 16th. Check him out, if you’re able.

Here are the details:

Date: Monday, April 16, 2012

Time: 6:00-8:00 pm

Location: Lake Mills Public Library, 120 E. Madison St., Lake Mills, WI, 53551

  1. His website is outstanding!!! Every politician running for elected office in Wisconsin (or any other state for that matter) should use it as an example.

    1. The district / area he’s running in is prominent and easily accessible. This should be a no-brainer.

    2. Ditto for the platform / issues link.

    3. The design is clean and clear.

    4. Asking for money is nowhere on the front page. Even when you find it, it’s called “investing”, which is exactly what I consider my campaign donations to be.

Top notch stuff! I wish I was in his district.

  2. I’ve never really judged a candidate on his/her website design; I’ve always focused on the candidate…but I’ve learned that, to some people, website design is really important. To each his/her own. 🙂

    1. If you are blessed with a position that has all candidates contacting you, begging for your “focus”, then I must say that you’re seriously out of touch with what it’s like to be an average, unprivileged citizen. Must be nice being one of the “more equal” animals…
