Earlier today the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Fran McLaughlin, who served as Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s spokeswoman from 2007 to 2010 when Walker was Milwaukee County Executive, became the 13th person given prosecutorial immunity in the ongoing Milwaukee County John Doe investigation.
McLaughlin, who now works as the spokeswoman for conservative Sheriff David Clarke, was apparently given immunity after she invoked her Fifth Amendment right not to answer questions in order to avoid self-incrimination.
