“Gov. Romney will do the right thing if it’s politically expedient”

This is what Mr. Romney’s supporters say.  Mr. Romney’s detractors always knew it.  And so, one more time, it appears that Mitt Romney is a captive of hate groups.  Alas, that appears to be what it means to be a Republican today. 

Meanwhile, though Mitt Romney is now the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party for the office of President of the United States, the circular firing squad has not stood down.
