“Nothing good happens after midnight”

Walker smiles“Nothing good happens after midnight.”

So said Scott Walker in 2010, when he was then just a candidate for governor.

With that in mind, let’s not forget that the budget Republicans in the legislature jammed through the Joint Finance Committee in the wee hours of Wednesday morning (the dark of the night) is the second biennial budget Republicans have rubber-stamped in the dark of the night for Scott Walker.

There’s been no word out of Madison yet as to when Gov. Walker will be renewing his push for a law that bans any votes in the Legislature between 10 p.m. and 9 a.m.

  1. “Our rules don’t apply to us.” 21st Century GOP motto.

Of course, if the DPW had any brains, they’d be running ads these next 2 weeks saying “Governor Walker, put your money where your mouth is, and veto this budget.”

  2. I find myself less concerned about the time of the day when they are passing tax cuts. If only you cared about Democrats jamming through billion dollar tax HIKES (without public hearings) in the middle of the night. (2009)
