What is he running for: Russ Feingold

So in case you haven’t heard already (which if you’re reading this blog you have), the Democratic Party of Wisconsin held its annual convention last weekend at the Olympia Resort in Oconomowoc.

Among those in attendance was former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold, in his capacity as the founder of Progressives United. Feingold hosted a hospitality suite at the hotel, complete with his famous sloppy joes, and while he explicitly ruled out running for office in 2013, 2014, or 2015, Feingold didn’t rule out a run in 2016, when the seat he lost to current Sen. Ron “Sunspots” Johnson is up for election.

Will Russ Feingold stay retired when the opportunity to run against Ron Johnson presents itself, or will he jump back into the political arena? What do you think?

  1. I fear for what the national political landscape (let alone the economic, psychological and physical condition of the State of Wisconsin) looks like by 2016 if the Republicans are left unabated. And real soon.
