Yesterday actor and comedian Seth Rogen gave funny but moving testimony at a U.S. Senate hearing on Alzheimer’s disease. During his testimony, Rogen shared the story of how the disease has impacted his mother-in-law, and he described what he called “the real ugly truth of the disease,” telling how by the age of 60, his mother-in-law had forgotten “how to speak, feed herself, dress herself and go to the bathroom herself.”
Unfortunately, not many lawmakers actually cared enough to stick around and listen to Rogen’s testimony, and after he was finished, Rogen to to Twitter to question why so many lawmakers either didn’t bother to show up or walked out in the middle of his testimony.
Here’s just one of Rogen’s tweets.
All those empty seats are senators who are not prioritizing Alzheimer's. Unless more noise is made, it won't change. pic.twitter.com/xDW6tlMHmH

They’re all too busy, trying to raise money to get re-elected.
Seth’s sponsoring congressional representative should have promoted it as a Benghazi hearing. That’d have filled the room!
Emma, well played.
