Scott Walker response to letter regarding Menorah: “Thank You and Molotov”

What a grade-A moron…

One Wisconsin Now dug up an undated letter that Walker sent in response to chairman Franklyn Gimbel’s request that he display a menorah during the holiday season:

Walker told Gimbel his office would be happy to display a menorah celebrating “The Eight Days of Chanukah” at the Milwaukee County Courthouse, and asked Gimbel to have a representative from Lubavitch of Wisconsin contact Walker’s secretary, Dorothy Moore, to set it up.

The letter is signed, “Thank you again and Molotov.”

I’m embarrassed that a man as patently stupid as Scott Walker was elected governor of this state not once but twice.

  1. He’s from Wisconsin, the land where Republican presidential candidates have a tendency to inadvertently insult Jews. So, he can check that off the list of embarrassments before he drops out of the running.
Sheldon won’t be amused, that’s for sure.

  2. Oh Zach! I should not even bother commenting on this post but I can’t help myself. CLEARLY this was a simple typo or spell correction computer mistake… Should he have caught it prior to hitting the send button? Of course he should have. Does it speak to his intelligence? Of course not. But I can understand how someone with such hatred and disgust for the man, someone with Walker derangement syndrome would pick this quote out.

Luckily we have the Messiah Obama in office who is a Rhodes scholar, lets take a small stroll down memory lane of just a few of his IDIOTIC comments:

    1. “R-S-P-E-C-T.” –flubbing the spelling of Aretha Franklin’s famous song “Respect” while paying tribute to the iconic singer, New York, NY (March 6, 2014)

    2. “We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad.” —Cincinnati, OH, Sept. 22, 2011

    3. “One such translator was an American of Haitian descent, representative of the extraordinary work that our men and women in uniform do all around the world — Navy Corpse-Man Christian Brossard.” –mispronouncing “Corpsman” (the “ps” is silent) during a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, Washington, D.C., Feb. 5, 2010 (The Corpsman’s name is also Christopher, not Christian)

    4. “No, no. I have been practicing…I bowled a 129. It’s like — it was like Special Olympics, or something.” –making an off-hand joke during an appearance on “The Tonight Show”, March 19, 2009 (Obama later called the head of the Special Olympics to apologize)

    5. “Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under a McCain…administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change.” –Amman, Jordan, July 22, 2008

    6. “I’ve now been in 57 states — I think one left to go.” –at a campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon

    7. “In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died — an entire town destroyed.” –on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people

Also I might add that this man Governor Walker, who you think is so stupid, has absolutely destroyed the past several candidates that the libs have put in front of him. His ACT 10 reform has been so widely received by the residents of this state that your pathetic candidates won’t even run against him on it. While he may be the stupidest person alive, as you would suggest, he has made your side look like fools.

    Correct.

Chris wrote: “but I can’t help myself.”

Sure you can, but since you get paid for commenting here, you won’t.

Chris wrote: “CLEARLY this was a simple typo or spell correction computer mistake… Should he have caught it prior to hitting the send button? Of course he should have. Does it speak to his intelligence? Of course not.”

Ok, now you’re accusing the Governor of being lazy.

Chris wrote: “But I can understand how someone with such hatred and disgust for the man,”

Nope, never seen anything remotely resembling that from Zach. Either provide a link or apologize. Your choice.

Wrong again. Gov. Walker makes these kinds of errors all the time. Probably why he couldn’t graduate from Marquette.

    http://cognidissidence.blogspot.com/2014/12/corporate-media-tries-to-cover-up.html

Gov. Walker’s on the side of the oligarchs. The oligarchs have destroyed the 99% and you’re helping them, for money.

  4. That was a joke by one of the aides for fun, from years ago, never sent to anyone. Walker never even saw it. The only thing you should be embarrassed about is your Left wing team, never solves any problems, Milwaukee is mess, never wins any elections and nationally has screwed the working class but taken care of the Liberal White Racists that run the party

    1. Dohnal, you’re the gift that keeps on giving. You wrote: “That was a joke by one of the aides for fun, from years ago, never sent to anyone. Walker never even saw it.”

If it was never “sent” to anyone, how did the media get a hold of it? If Mr. Gimbel never received it, why isn’t he confirming?

Since you like Governor Walker, why do you refer to him as “Walker?”

The more you post, the more I’m convinced that Mike Tate’s paying you to make the GOP look bad. Tip of the hat to Mike on this one, it’s working.

  5. It could very possibly have been a typo or a joke, so let’s examine that:
Executives surround themselves with competent professionals to make sure that doesn’t happen. It’s quite possible that this got past a clerical worker or the administrative personnel who draft these letters. And it occasionally happens even with the best support staff. You can proofread a letter a dozen times and still miss that one word. So you apologize to your boss and hopefully your boss accepts that apology and handles the embarrassment upfront and with grace. Perhaps we should assume Scott Walker did just that in a phone call or other contact with the recipient.
But a joke? A professional in the smallest office knows one thing: never put something in writing that can come back to haunt you. Never. Draft a letter with a silly comment, word or sentence just for fun and risk getting distracted and forgetting about it. And there it remains, in the file or on a desk for someone else to find later. It reflects badly on the professionalism of the office and can come back to haunt you, because it indicates that your boss surrounds him/herself with incompetents and clowns.
The company you keep and the professionals you hire: Scott Walker surrounded himself with people who casually sent racist emails and in this instance, if you want to believe that excuse, joked about incendiary devices in reference to an ethnic group whose world history includes Kristallnacht.

    1. Sue, GREAT POINT! Lets take this small stroll down memory lane!

Vice President Joe Biden is currently under fire for adopting a drawl and telling a group of black supporters that Republicans “gonna put ya’ll back in chains.” But this is not the first time the vice president has been dogged by offensive remarks.

ONE. Biden kicked off his 2007 White House run by condescending to his current running mate, saying that then-Sen. Barack Obama was the “first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy.”

He later apologized for the incident—but his penchant for crossing the line stuck with him on the campaign trail.

TWO. Biden falsely boasted that Delaware was a slave state to explain why he would remain competitive in southern primaries.

“You don’t know my state. My state was a slave state … my state is the 8th largest black population in the country,” he said.

The nation’s first black governor, Virginia’s Douglas Wilder, recently blasted Biden for engaging in racially charged rhetoric. The Daily Mail reports:

‘Slavery is nothing to joke about. And the history of this nation’s involvement with slavery is nothing to pass off in a joke.’

Suggesting that Biden was a liability to Obama, he added that ‘you can’t continue to make gaffe after gaffe after gaffe and believe that it’s going to be supportive of what you and the president are both trying to do’.

THREE. Biden’s treatment of Indian-Americans has earned him plenty of criticism. In 2006, he told an Indian-American supporter that “you cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”

Luckily BIDEN is ONLY the VICE PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES… Otherwise this would be news…

      1. Chris,

        You’re violating “Fair Use” standards.

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

You’re pasting copyrighted material into BB without providing a link back to the source. That forces Blogging Blue mods, when, if, they see it, to have to remove your comment. Making messes is something else you’re good at. Apparently, you’ve had a lot of practice.

Interesting to see you and Dohnal going after D’s on ethnicity. #co-ordination

    2. Sue… why no follow up to my response… Surely you must have known that Obama surrounds himself with gaffe machines. Maybe you missed Gruber (past architect of obamacare) going on and on about how stupid Americans are/were on tape!!! Now that’s surrounding yourself with smart people…

  6. John, you wrote: “Nope, never seen anything remotely resembling that from Zach. Either provide a link or apologize. Your choice.”

Zach wrote “I’m embarrassed that a man as patently stupid as Scott Walker was elected governor of this state not once but twice.”

    Asked and answered…

I of course will not apologize as my statement was fact. Thanks for commenting on the many many many incredibly stupid things Obama has said through the years. The man who is so smart he has discovered every scandal that has happened on his watch through the media…

You are a funny one John! Yes you are.

    1. Chris,

Way to keep your string of inaccurate responses intact.

      “asked and answered,”

Like it, got the first string working the “Chris” handle now.

      “hating”
      :
“to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest:”

      http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hate

Now, bring on that apology to Zach.

W/R/T President Obama, you failed to provide a link, which is what your handle does best. #lazy

When you get serious about criticizing the President, I’d encourage you to start with his failure to indict even one Wall Street CEO. That’s where real conservative and liberals start. You’re neither, just a paid hack for the oligarchs.

  7. Off Topic (or maybe On Topic)

Nice to see how comment moderating is elevating the level of discourse in this thread.

  8. The letter was part of one of the emails from 10 years ago that were released by the courts. why don’t you creeps do some research once in awhile?

    1. Emma. No apologies from me, just an observation that Obama, Biden and so many other genius liberals have said far more offensive and idiotic comments. So if walker is an idiot and a moron what does that make Obama… just Calvin it as I see it

      1. Chris,

Except for voting rights (and just a little on immigration), please provide any evidence that Obama and Biden are liberal.

        Hint:

Obama hasn’t indicted one Wall Street CEO.

Obama is putting troops back into the Middle East.

Obama isn’t changing the schedule on marijuana.

He’s working with the GOP to “fast track” NAFTA on steroids, aka the Trans Pacific Partnership and other corporate trade deals, that will devastate Wisconsin’s manufacturing.

        Thanks in advance.

  9. BTW: there is a difference between a verbal gaffe and a written one. One would expect that any written document going out on official stationary over the supposed sender’s name would be edited and proof read before being sent. When one is talking and your tongue gets in the way of your eye teeth you can’t see what you are saying.

but this is just an example of then County Exec Walker’s office…one more point of his inimitable staffing genius and nothing more.

  10. Just another take on this:

As Scooter has been able to gain some fine cover and a ready-made distraction from his latest trip to see Las Vegas casino boss, Sheldon Adelson with his relatively minor but still quite humorous tossing of a molotov, I was wondering if this was just a fortunate coincidence or not.

What has been reported in the MSM is that Walker was visiting friends, thanked Mr Adelson for prior political contributions and was schooled by Mr Adelson on Middle East foreign affairs (cough, cough), information that a future POTUS probably should have, right?

With the MSM coverage of the unintentional incendiary device, I am wondering if any of the MSM will remember to ask Walker exactly what State of Wisconsin business he conducted while in Las Vegas. Not familiar with the vacation allowances in a Governor’s contract, was this just rest and relaxation after a grueling campaign? Or, was Walker getting “insider,” orders guidance from Sheldon on which way to rule in the SE WI gaming matters?

As we have been told by the one and only himself, he is the original “tea party,” from WI, so it seems there are several possibilities that the WI press corps are overlooking, questions still needing to be asked.

Mazel tov Scooter, quite the Nevada T-contingent, looks like another Scott Free taxpayer funded ride.
