So How Many Muslims Are There In The USA?

This is just a prelude to something else that I am working on…but according to the CIA, the total estimated US population as of July 2015 is 321,368,864. They also estimate that the Muslim population in the USA as of 2007 is 0.6%…but let’s just err on the high side and say, oh, 1%. So at most 3,213,369 Muslims reside in our country…so I don’t think 10,000 more is going to tip the balance.

  1. Been there, done that!

So how many Irish are in the United States today?

Faith and begorah; as I recall, did not my maternal grandfather of German descent of the Lutheran faith similarly rue the influx and eventual control by the Irish of his beloved Milwaukee Fire Department of which he was a lifelong employee in the early 1900’s! And even worse, they were papists!

Oh ye of little faith; surely we can welcome and assimilate a few more folks of a different faith and ethnicity. Are we not a “melting pot”?

  2. Since it is progressives so eager to take in Muslim refugees, I propose an exchange program. We send them 10,000 progressives, they send us 10,000 refugees.

  3. We can take our moral and humanitarian guidance on accepting refugees from the engraved message on a plaque on the Statute of Liberty:

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

Without politicizing the issue, it is the “right” thing to do!

And I’m confident one can find many passages from the Bible, King James version and others, to support Emma Lazarus’ famous quote from her sonnet, New Colossus.
