  1. Zach, thanks.

AFAIK, Whyte, Hirschbeck, Dudek, S.C. hired Justice R. Bradley right out of Marquette’s Law School. Bruce Arnold, a managing partner, was a lead attorney for the Milwaukee Archdiocese against victims of priests who sexually abused them.

One of the issues not covered in the revelations about Justice R. Bradley’s adultery is her membership in the Thomas Moore Society. https://www.thomasmoresociety.org

Bruce Arnold is also a member. http://stmls-wi.blogspot.com/2014/03/bruce-arnold-archdiocese-of-milwaukee.html

The Thomas More Society wants the government to force birth. They’re against birth control. They do not want poor and middle class women to have access to it. They are not tolerant of adultery or pre-marital sex. Since Justice R. Bradley admitted in an affidavit that she engaged in a pattern of adultery and pre-marital sex, it’s fair to ask the Thomas More Society when they will expel her. If they do not expel her, it may threaten their 501(c)3.

I suspect Whyte, Hirschbeck, Dudek, S.C. has few clients who helped net income over the decades as much as the Milwaukee Archdiocese. I’ve read speculation that the Archbishop and Milwaukee Catholics with deep pockets are unhappy about the outcome of the bankruptcy petition. The money that their attorneys thought the Archdiocese could save by following that strategy was never realized. The strategy ignored the brand damage a bankruptcy petition would inflict. The strategy ignored the, “drip, drip, drip,…” risks that the petition would keep the accounts of priests raping minors in the media. The prime benefactors of the strategy were the billable hours of the attorneys who sold it to Arbp. Listecki. I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if that assessment is 100% accurate. Arbp. Listecki is an attorney. The Roman Catholic church is not a democracy. The only vote in the Milwaukee Archdiocese that matters is Arbp. Listecki’s. He decided on the strategy. The responsibility is his. If he thinks he got poor legal advice, he can ask for some of the Archdiocese’s money back.
