Just yesterday, President Donald Trump was saying that Dreamers (undocumented immigrants who were brought to the US as minors) should rest easy.
Young immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and now here illegally can “rest easy,” President Donald Trump said Friday, telling the “dreamers” they will not be targets for deportation under his immigration policies.
Pretty straightforward and easy to understand for any of us.
But then Attorney General Jeff Sessions takes an entirely different tack.
Striking a different tone than President Trump on DREAMers, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said they like “everyone that enters the country unlawfully” are “subject to being deported.”
Now I understand that the Justice Department has a certain degree of independence from the Oval Office but in terms of policy they really need to be on the same page.
Pressed by (ABC News Chief Anchor George) Stephanopoulos on whether DREAMers can “rest easy” as the president said, Sessions said, “Well, we’ll see. I believe that everyone who enters the country illegally is subject to being deported.
Wha? But the president very specifically said:
In an interview with the Associated Press on Friday, President Trump said, “We aren’t looking to do anything right now” about DREAMers.
When the president was asked if the official policy of his administration is to allow DREAMers to stay in the country, he gave a definitive “yes.”
“That’s our policy,” Trump said.
But this bears repeating:

Do any of these guys even talk to each other??? Particularly before they go running off to meet the press? This is just another clear example of the disconnects rampant in the White House and it really needs to stop. Obviously everyone involved is confused and what exactly the Trump regime’s immigration policy is. How exactly do you enforce the nebulous?
Trump has inherited 3 wars from Obama. Obama inherited two wars that were finished, plus Korea wants to blow us up and Iran is doing everything possible to wreck things in Mideast. Maybe he might be trying o save our butts from the Obama mess.
