Conservative Deanna Alexander fired from $86,000-per-year state job

Well this is interesting….

Alexander — the board’s conservative firebrand — has been axed from her $86,000-per-year state job.

Alexander declined to explain why she was fired by the state Department of Children and Families in recent weeks. She had worked as a section chief in the state division that oversees Milwaukee’s foster care system.

“I loved working at DCF. I am proud of my efforts and work to better the lives of Milwaukee’s children,” Alexander said this week via email. “On the advice of my attorney, I am unable to comment further at this time but may be able to discuss more in the future.”

Alexander has hired Madison lawyer Andrea Farrell, who specializes in employment discrimination.

Later in Dan Bice’s article he reports a complaint had been made earlier this year to Alexander’s supervisor that she was doing county campaign work on state time.
