On Monday, President Joe Biden will visit the flood ravaged areas of Kentucky. This is as it should be.
But will he bring Kentucky Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul along for the ride? That is as it should be too. Disaster relief should be an open and transparent bi-partisan effort each and every time.
Now, I understand that the current Senate session may require the two senators to stay in Washington if they don’t finish the Inflation Reduction Act today…but:
If you want to start bridging the divide, clear bi-partisan events should be clear, bi-partisan events and all concerned parties should be involved.
