Being the home state Republican senator, Ron Johnson had a key note speech slot at the Republican National Convention held in Milwaukee WI. Now, following the attempted assignation of Donald Trump, many Republicans including Sen. Johnson said that they would take up a line with more of a unity message as opposed to the hard line positions that they normally would have taken at the convention.
But it didn’t work out so well for Sen. Johnson. When he took the podium the teleprompter loaded the wrong speech, the more partisan version that he originally intended to deliver.
So did Sen. Johnson stop and turn to the techies and say, hey dudes, this is the wrong speech and wait until they corrected it? Hell, no, damn the torpedoes, and away he went. Does that sound like leadership to you? Nope, not to me either. Why does anyone still take this guy seriously?
