The far-right fringe strikes again!

Here’s yet another example of those classy conservatives over at Right View Wisconsin, in this case Amy Geiger-Hemmer, expressing her thoughts on Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett being attacked by a pipe-wielding assailant (emphasis mine):

The Contenders

All signs seem to point to Gov. Jim Doyle not seeking reelection in 2010, so I thought I’d take a look at a few of the possible Democratic contenders to succeed Gov. Doyle:

Mayor Barrett attacked with a pipe outside State Fair

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was attacked late last night, having been beaten with a pipe while calling 911 to report an altercation between a woman and a man.

Thankfully, Mayor Barrett is said to be in good condition this morning.

Failed “Recall Doyle” group takes credit for Doyle not running again

Despite not collecting a SINGLE signature in their effort to recall Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle, and despite their recall effort dying a quick and quiet death, the folks at WIN (led by Vince Schmuki) are “claiming victory” as reports indicate Gov. Doyle won’t seek reelection in 2010.

As The Chief said…priceless.
