Scott Walker has a 68-page jobs plan…written in 58 point font

On Friday Michael Brickman of Republican Scott Walker’s gubernatorial campaign wrote a blog entry announcing the release of Walker’s 68 page jobs plan:

Rather than put out thick packet of fluff that few will read, Scott Walker is actually proposing ideas that will fundamentally change the direction of our state for the better. Still, while Barrett’s plan is lacking in ideas and vision, we confess it does have a lot of pages – 67 to be exact. So, not to be outdone, the Team Tosa Blog is proud to present Scott Walker’s 68 PAGE JOBS PLAN!

It’s the best of both worlds: good, substantive ideas for people who are into that type of thing, but also lots and lots of pages!!!

You’ll remember Michael Brickman as the same jokester who thought sending around a racially-tinged Soul Train video about President Obama was tremendously funny, and while Brickman was obviously trying to make a joke about Democratic gubernatorial candidate Tom Barrett’s 67-page jobs plan, I’m not exactly sure how highlighting the fact that your candidate’s jobs plan is woefully lacking any substantive ideas is funny, unless you really hate your candidate. At a little over one thousand words, Scott Walker’s jobs plan lacks any real specifics on how Walker would create jobs as governor, but given Walker’s woeful efforts when it comes to job creation in Milwaukee County, we shouldn’t be surprised that Walker’s plan doesn’t consist of anything more than vague talking points about red tape and lower taxes. If you’d like, you can take a look at Scott Walker’s jobs plan for yourself.

The fact is, Scott Walker’s one thousand word jobs plan shows how devoid of original ideas Scott Walker is, and it shows that as governor he’d mismanage the state just like he’s mismanaged Milwaukee County.

  1. After just a quick scan of County Executive Walker’s jobs plan, yes it is a string of generalities with little actual substance. But why as governor are so many of these items good things to do when as county exec many were anathema for county govt?

Improving response time in state govt may require additional staff…which is opposite of cost cutting and shrinking govt.

Improving infrastructure. transportation, communication? This is exactly the opposite of what Mr. Walker has done as county ececutive. The transit system is on intensive care…county maintained roads are sick…and county buildings have proven to be out right dangerous following lack of maintenance.

I still don’t know how he thinks we can move his agenda in Madison past what, 99 assembly people plus state senators, when he couldn’t persuade 19 county supervisors to follow his lead.

  2. I guess maybe us poor people, in the private sector, are tired of paying the way for the substandard working union people who could not make it on their own if their life depended on it. Go Scott Walker. Don’t give in to these jokers.
