The Plutocrat Protection Act

The Georgia State Senate Labor and Insurance Committee unanimously passed a bill on Tuesday that would criminalize picketing and protests outside of private residences and businesses.

The bill was drafted by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and targets, in particular, union led protests.

It’s no wonder, then, that Caterpillar chose Georgia as the place to build a new manufacturing plant.

No wonder either that right wing smartass David Blaska would like to see Wisconsin become more like Georgia.

If Scott Walker and the Fitzgerald boys remain in power Wisconsin may become a right-to-work for even-less-than-you-make-now state. And who knows, maybe the criminalizing of dissent won’t be far behind?

  1. This is not shocking at all.

    The fact is, for all their rhetoric Republicans abandoned working folks a long time ago, and that’s a real shame, because it’s working folks that drive our nation’s economy, not the top 1%.
