I have, but apparently the same can’t be said for Lee County (Florida) Sheriff Mike Scott, who spoke at a campaign rally on behalf of Republican presidential nominee Senator John McCain. Scott, who was in full uniform when he spoke at the rally, is now under investigation for a possible violation of the Hatch Act, which prohibits certain political activities by covered state and local employees.

For blatantly violating the Hatch Act, and for acting like a jackass in the process, Sheriff Mike Scott is my Idiot of the Week.
I wondered about that…. It sure seemed like that wasn’t legal… Guess we’ll know soon.
Yeah, we shall see whether he actually did anything illegal or not, but at the very least, it sure was questionable.
