Ron Johnson Voted AGAINST The Bipartisan Gun Safety Bill

The US Senate couldn’t have put together a more meaningless and ineffectual gun safety bill than the one that they passed a few weeks ago…titled the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. Touted to save lives, which it will do, but it pales in comparison to the gun safety laws that the country needs to enact to be a safe place to actually live.

Yet, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson (R – Moscow) chose to vote against it...despite his party leadership, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, voting in favor.

The first major gun safety measure in decades cleared Congress Friday and was headed to President Joe Biden’s desk, as Democrats in Wisconsin’s congressional delegation backed the bill while state Republicans were opposed.

Late Thursday, the U.S. Senate passed the bill by 65-to-33, with 50 Democrats, including Wisconsin’s Tammy Baldwin along with 15 Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, voting for the bill.

Republican U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson voted against the measure.

Yes, Ron Johnson voted against the bill. Yeah, the tough guy in the photo below, surrounded my members of the Milwaukee County sheriff’s department in Milwaukee County’s airport. He gets plenty of protection and you get ????
