Coming this week: Drinking Liberally

From the esteemed Jason Haas comes news of this month’s edition of Drinking Liberally:

Howdy librul pardners, it’s time again for that easy-cheesy pack of left-stepping folks with shiny pins and good sense to come together for Drinking Liberally! As always, we meet from 7 PM onward on the third Wednesday of each month at Sugar Maple, 441 E. Lincoln Ave. in Milwaukee’s booming Bay View neighborhood.

The soup is on and the talking shall flow at this month’s DL. Just last month, we had a very exciting visit by two federal candidates, Todd Kolosso and Dave Westlake. And next month, on June 16, we welcome Henry Sanders, a Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor. That race already has several candidates, including Milwaukee’s Spencer Coggs, whom we will invite to speak to us as well.

This month, it looks like *you* will be the special guest, my dear and only friend, for this event is nothing without you there. For DL is as much about talking up our democratic traditions as it is arguing which way’s the best way forward. It’s about friends catching up with each other, not so much in a race to the top as a race not to topple your beer glass.

I’ll see you there!

It’s worth noting Democratic House candidate Paul Morel has also confirmed he’ll be attending Drinking Liberally on Wednesday, so you should definitely come meet Paul and find out why he’s running.
