You can use the search by zip code function to help you figure out all the health coverage options for available to you, and it also provides extensive educational information about health insurance coverage and consumer rights.
I did go to that after hearing about it on the radio. I went there and learned about the soon-to-open Sun Prairie dental clinic which is federally funded & I believe is for the uninsured/underinsured. That was exciting, since I think 1 in 3 Americans is walking around with a cavity in their head right now but how many have dental insurance?? Thanks for the reminder. I’ll be going back to that site again.
I do have dental (through my wife’s employer) but it covers very little. However, the dental clinic we go to provides their own coverage which is not only good, but very reasonably priced. Granted, they’re a major provider, and I’m sure the little guys can’t do it. Their policies are such that you can pick up a plan at any time – including when you actually need something done. Seems like it usually works out that if you just need a filling, the savings on the work is pretty close to break even with the cost of the insurance – but anything more or if someone else in the family needs something done, you come out well ahead.
