Ron Johnson has had a really bad week…

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Ron Johnson has had a bad week. First, video of Johnson testifying against legislation to hold pedophile priests and the church that protected them more accountable, and then he was the subject of a segment on MSNBC due to his opposition to that legislation:

It’s worth noting the man who appeared on MSNBC, Todd Merryfield, was not only a victim of abuse at the hands of a pedophile priest who was protected by the Green Bay Diocese, but he was also admittedly a “huge Johnson supporter” since the time Johnson announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate. In a statement issued after video of his testimony to the State Senate surfaced and he came under attack by victims for his opposition to the legislation that would allow victims to sue, Johnson said he wants the Green Bay Diocese to be “completely transparent.” As has been asked elsewhere, does that mean Ron Johnson will release information on all the sex abuse law suits he signed off on as a member of the Green Bay Diocese’s Finance Council?

I’m betting the answer to that question is a resounding NO.

  1. Here’s what I don’t get…none of our media is reporting this bit of news?!? The only article I could find was a Ron Johnson response. WTF??

  2. Seems to me like Ron has had a great week. He is leading Russ by 12 points!

Wes…the media is not picking up on this “story” because their ain’t one. MSNBC trying to push some more of their propaganda. Are you guys slowly starting to see that the general public is not falling for the old spin tricks like they used to?

  3. Dear Huh? You wouldn’t think it was a non-story if it had been you or your kid who was raped by a pedophile protected by a powerful church and a would-be U.S. senator.
