Joel Kleefisch’s focus? Not jobs!

Apparently State Rep. Joel “The Lt. Governor’s husband” Kleefisch forgot that Republicans campaigned in 2010 on promises they’d focus on jobsif elected:

Dems quickly jumped on GOP state Rep. Joel Kleefisch today for circulating 15 bills for co-sponsorships that included repealing same-day voter registration and creating a property tax credit for manufacturing and biotechnology, except for those facilities engaging in embryonic stem cell research.

Rep. Dean Kaufert, R-Neenah, also offered a proposal to implement “castle doctrine” legislation regarding defense of an individual’s home and property.

  1. Out of curiosity, would you refer to Rep. Kleefisch in that manner if he were a Republican? Would you refer to a woman as “X’s wife?”

Personally, I don’t really give a crap about such things, but some people are quite offended by referring to them as the “spouse of” as a means of belittling or insulting them. I suspect Hillary would not exactly be thrilled at being referred to as Bill’s wife.

Or is that all just your point, to be insulting. If that’s the case, seems a bit hackish & classless, reminiscent of Kagan’s “the biggest insult you can do to a man is call his wife the wrong name.”

    1. I referred to Rep. Kleefisch in that manner because his wife happens to be the more well-known of the two, given her recent statewide run as Scott Walker’s running mate.
