Earlier today the Building and Construction Trades Council of South Central Wisconsin announced it has endorsed Democratic State Rep. Mark Pocan in the race to succeed Democratic Rep. Tammy Baldwin in the 2nd Congressional district.
Rep. Pocan’s endorsement by the Trades Council is certainly a step in the right direction for his Congressional campaign, especially on the heels of Rep. Kelda Helen Roys’ endorsement by EMILY’S List. No doubt Pocan and Roys will be battling back and forth for endorsements as their race heats up, and it will be interesting to see who gets the endorsement of Wisconsin’s public employee unions. Rep. Pocan has long been a staunch supporter of Wisconsin’s public employees, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him get the endorsement of public employee unions.
