I’ll give Chris Abele credit: for being a neophyte to politics, he sure has been a quick study when it comes to talking like a politician.
Abele for County Executive in 2012? I’m tempted to pass.
I really wish that we had a viable candidate to run against him this cycle…

I’ll add that today’s joint reelection announcement was an interesting piece of political theatre. Sure, they can say it was all about highlighting how well they work together, but no doubt it had the added effect of scaring off possible challengers on the left.
