From my email inbox comes news of October’s installment of Drinking Liberally Milwaukee.
Greetings and Salutations!
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Brian Eisold, and I’m excited to let you know that I will be taking over as host of Drinking Liberally Milwaukee. I’d like to thank Zach for entrusting me with the responsibility of running this event and for all the help he has given me to hit the ground running. I really look forward to working with both Zach and Ed to make Drinking Liberally an even bigger success as we continue to grow!
I’m also thrilled to announce that we will be joined by State Representative Kelda Helen Roys for our October meeting. Representative Roys is the Democratic Caucus Chair, and an expert in women’s health policy. We are very fortunate to have her as our featured guest this month.
I’m working on confirming a second speaker for this month, and if they come through, I will be the first to let you know. In the mean time, please “like” our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/groups/10374451307/?fref=ts
Also, any suggestions, feedback, or offers to buy the first round are always welcome!
Sincerely,
Brian Eisold
I am not particularly excited by the prospect of Rep Kelda Roys doing much of anything, except acknowledging that her campaign against Mark Pocan was ill-conceived and badly executed. When this sort of statement issues forth from her political mind, then I will be willing to listen.
She is chair of the Dem Caucus, eh? All the more reason for her to admit these mistakes, and regain a bit of legitimacy to run the Dem caucus here is politically-war-torn Wisconsin. If she does NOT recant, legislators ought to consider a new caucus chair. i Am glad she is an expert on women’s health, that is certainly a good thing. For her expertise to be exercised more effectively, she ought to practise a bit of social and political healing.

You’re not the only one, and I’m at a loss for what the issue is, because those notifications are done through WordPress.
