Three Open Forums on State Education Budget

another message from the email inbox from the Wisconsin Education Association Council:

Future of Public Education in the Balance

Governor Walker’s budget proposal represents yet another radical break from Wisconsin tradition that will dramatically affect educators and students for years to come. Final decisions on the two-year budget are likely to be made within the next month.

Please join your colleagues and community members at one of three public forums in the Milwaukee area. Experts on school program and funding will lead a discussion of critical issues in Walker’s budget including:

the impact of another funding freeze on public schools
the track record of taxpayer funded private voucher and charter schools
the implications of “pay for performance” on school quality in Wisconsin
an alternative vision for improving education in Wisconsin
