Know a great progressive running in Milwaukee?

From our email:

This year, millions of Americans have spoken out against Trump. And many thousands of progressive activists are taking an even bigger step — running for local offices like school board and city council across the country.

The Working Families Party’s mission is to elect the next generation of progressive leaders who are fighting for the issues that matter to working people. And we’re looking to support progressive champions across the country who are running for local office this year.

Does this sound like you? Apply for the Working Families Party endorsement before the deadline on September 1st!

Not running for office yourself? If you know a great progressive candidate who is standing up for working families in Milwaukee, nominate them for the WFP endorsement here.

A Working Families Party endorsement is like a progressive seal of approval: it tells the voters in your community which candidates we can really count on to fight for the issues that matter most, from fair funding our public schools and living wage jobs to ending mass incarceration and getting big money out of politics.

Already, WFP-endorsed candidates are winning this year in Democratic primaries, special elections, and nonpartisan races. Candidates from Philadelphia’s next District Attorney Larry Krasner to Joshua Hall, a Hartford teacher who won a seat in the Connecticut state legislature against the Democratic machine, to Tony Baez, a community activist who won a seat on the school board in Milwaukee.

WFP does our best to make sure our endorsed candidates have the training and resources they need to run and win, including access to our nationwide base of activists and volunteers to spread the word about your campaign.
