Capitol insurrectionist Richard Barnett says remaining in custody “not fair”

What a poor little snowflake…

The man who was seen putting his feet up on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s desk during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot had an outburst in federal court Thursday over his continued detainment.

Richard Barnett, reportedly screamed at Judge Christopher R. Cooper during a virtual hearing where it was determined he would remain detained until at least his next hearing in May. He yelled at Cooper that it was “not fair” that he remained in jail as others were released, according to NBC Washington’s Scott MacFarlane.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Richard “Bigo” Barnett, he’s one of the Capitol insurrectionists who on January 6th stormed the United States Capitol causing damage, death, and injury. For his part in the attempt insurrection Barnett was famously photographed sitting with his feet on a desk in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office with a giant shit-eating grin on his face. Barnett is also alleged to have stolen official mail from Speaker Pelosi’s office, but despite those serious offenses he feels it’s just not fair that he’s being held in custody.

Y’know….conservatives have been awfully fond of throwing the “snowflake” label on liberals any time they think they’ve triggered us, so there’s a certain amount of irony in seeing a far-right conservative so triggered in court that he’d resort to outbursts – just like a delicate snowflake.
