Although I have absolutely no love for Marjorie Taylor Greene and wish she were as far away from Washington D.C. as possible…shit like this isn’t funny…and this is how people get hurt. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s home “swatted,” Rome police say.
Police said they responded to a 911 call about a person who had been shot multiple times at a house within the city limits.
When police responded, they realized the call was at Greene’s home.
She assured officers that there was no issue and the call was determined to be a false call that police commonly refer to as a “swatting” incident.
This shit is dangerous. Law Enforcement go into what they anticipate as a dangerous situation and things can go wrong pretty easily. And the resident can be surprised by the sudden intrusion and over react as well…again plenty of opportunity for things to go wrong.
And whatever you think of MTG’s politics or views on culture, society, religion, or government, this type of violent terrorism isn’t the answer. And no, this rationale isn’t a reason to do this either.
Dispatchers got a second 911 call from the suspect, who was using a computer-generated voice. The caller said he or she was upset about Greene’s political views on transgender youth rights.
The Rome Police Department is working with the Capitol Police to determine who made the calls.
I hope they catch whoever is responsible…maybe they can share a cell with Rudy or Donald for the foreseeable future.
