It’s been eight years

It’s been eight years since the first post here on Blogging Blue.

Back then, the blog was just me and a few readers (most of whom were my immediate family), but since then it’s become much more than that. Though we’ve had some fits and starts along the way, I’m really proud of what Blogging Blue has become, and I’m proud to be included in an amazing group of bloggers here in Wisconsin – folks like the group at Cognitive Dissidence, Political Heat, Monologues of Dissent, blue cheddar, Uppity Wisconsin, The Political Environment, Wisconsin Soap Box, and Caffeinated Politics, among others. I’ve long believed that Wisconsin’s bloggers are some of the best around, and I’m thrilled to be a part of that group.

Most importantly, I’d like to thank all of you who’ve made Blogging Blue what it is today, from all of our current contributors (Ed, Steve, Joanne, and Nancy) to our former contributors, not to mention all of you who read the blog and contribute so much to the debate through your comments. You all have made this a truly enjoyable experience, and it’s because of you that I look forward to doing this for eight more years.

  2. Congratulations on the anniversary of your blog. As you are well aware it takes time and commitment to make Blogging Blue a site that people want to visit and read. Your efforts have paid off and the site is most remarkable for timely articles and a political perspective that speaks to our state and the values we share. Onwards!

  3. Thanks for the platform Zach and for your dedication to it for all of us looking to further social justice, environmental sustainability and human rights.

  4. 8 years already? Time flies…

You and your readers bring forth news, information and discussion points that corporate media rarely touch upon and when they do it’s because the information is being driven into the public realm by blogs like yours.

Congratulations on BB’s anniversary! Cheers to you.

  5. I like this blog for selfish reasons, of course. Here is one of the few places that the complexity of our political system can be freely discussed and criticized. It balances the often specious methods of the main stream media. So thanks for all you do.
