Sanders campaign endorsed by law enforcement officials

Democratic Lt. Governor candidate Henry Sanders, Jr. announced yesterday his campaign has received the endorsements of a number of law enforcement officials throughout Wisconsin:

Wood County Sheriff Tom Reichert, Dane County District Attorney Ismael Ozanne, Lafayette County District Attorney Charlotte Doherty, and Eau Claire County District Attorney Rich White today announced their endorsements of Henry Sanders for Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor. They join Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney, Rock County Sheriff Bob Spoden, and hundreds of other local elected officials and community leaders supporting Sanders in the Democratic Primary.

“Unemployment leads to crime — it’s as simple as that,” said White. “An administration with a real plan to create jobs will make our communities safer. Henry Sanders not only has a real plan, but also the real-world job creation experience to execute that plan.”

“I’m responsible for public safety around Wisconsin Rapids, Marshfield, and the rest of Wood County, and I’m also responsible for the deputies who put their lives on the line every day,” said Reichert. “I need to know the folks in Madison will take good care of those brave men and women. Henry Sanders understands how important public servants are to this state, and will stand up for all of us.”

“Public safety is one of the most important functions of government, and my hat is off to the men and women who work hard every day to keep our communities safe,” said Sanders. “I am humbled by the support of these dedicated public servants.”
