Tracey Corder gains endorsement of County Board campaign from JoCasta Zamarripa

I’m a little slow to post this, but Tracey Corder, a candidate for County Board in the 18th district, has garnered the endorsement of Democratic State Rep. JoCasta Zamarripa, a first-term State Representative from the south side of Milwaukee.

Here’s Rep. Zamarripa’s statement accompanying her endorsement of Corder in the 18th supervisory district.

“I only just began working with Tracey earlier this year, but I was immediately struck by her strong work ethic and commitment to public service,” said Zamarripa. “I knew she would be one to watch and I was not surprised when she stepped up to run for elected office. I am proud to announce my endorsement of Tracey Corder for Milwaukee County Supervisor in the 18th district.”

Tracey Corder has spent the last 5 years of her life working as a social worker, which has given her a unique view on the needs of the community. She spends her time advocating for youth and their families through the juvenile justice system, aiding veterans and the homeless, and working with battered women.

Corder is one of at least three candidates in the race to replace Johnny Thomas on the County Board, along with conservative Scott Walker supporter Deanna Alexander and activist/bus driver Lamar “Penny” Sikora.
