Assembly campaign of “Segway” Jeremy Ryan comes to an end

And not a moment too soon:

I’m done, didn’t get the signatures required… Between last night and noon four people said they would help… Each one ditched me, three of which didn’t even bother to text back and let me know they were ditching me… I have been asking for help with signatures for two weeks… I will not be running again until I know people around me are willing to put their actions where their mouth is… Special thanks to Will Gruber, Irving Smith, Jeffrey Granby, and MDickman Akapizzabox-Guy for actually helping out… I won’t name the four that ditched me, they know who they are…

It’s no secret I’m no fan of Jeremy Ryan, in large part because I think he has done more harm than good to the entire anti-Republican/pro-public employee movement here in Wisconsin with some of his antics.

While I certainly appreciate Ryan’s passion when it comes to standing up for what he believes in, I think he’s been oblivious to the fact that the fights many of us having been fighting on behalf of public employees (and the Wisconsin way of life in general) are as much about winning the “PR war” as anything else, because we need to bring as many of our fellow Wisconsinites as possible to our side of the fight.
