From the files of, “Loyalty has its rewards” comes this tidbit…
Cindy Archer, a key cabinet member on Walker’s county staff, is set to start a new six-figure job with the state on Monday.
Archer — who has bounced around the Walker administration for the past 21/2 years — beat out more than two dozen other candidates to be named an administrative services director at the state Public Defender’s Office. She will be paid $101,510 a year.
You may remember Cindy Archer as one of then-County Executive Scott Walker’s top aides in Milwaukee County, and you may also remember her from having her home raided by the FBI in 2011.
Apparently loyalty to Scott Walker has its privileges.
What next by Walker? Pardons for two former aides?
Considering Gov. Walker suspended the gubernatorial pardon program, I don’t think he’ll issue the first two pardons of his time in office to two aides convicted of illegal behavior they committed while they were among his closest aides in Milwaukee County.
