Apparently Ted Cruz doesn’t understand what “Green Eggs and Ham” means

During his fake filibuster on the floor of the U.S. Senate this week, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz read aloud from “Green Eggs and Ham” by Dr. Seuss. As noted elsewhere, Dr. Seuss probably wouldn’t be a big fan of a conservative like Cruz co opting his work to further a worldview diametrically opposed to that of Seuss.

What I find ironic is that Sen. Cruz used “Green Eggs and Ham” to score cheap political points despite the fact that the whole message of the book undermines Cruz’s efforts.

“‘Green Eggs and Ham’ is about trying new things and giving it a chance and being open to change, right? And here’s Ted Cruz trying to stop Obamacare, really before it gets going,”

I think it’s safe to say Sen. Ted Cruz is a grade-A moron, and I can’t wait to see his presidential aspirations go up in flames.
