Judge David Borowski won’t run for Attorney General

I’m glad to see Judge Borowski won’t be running for Attorney General.

Milwaukee County Circuit Judge David Borowski announced Friday he would not run for attorney general because of a state Supreme Court decision limiting the ability of judges to seek other offices.

“While I have been encouraged to run for attorney general by dozens of people, including attorneys and elected officials, I have determined that I am clearly prevented from becoming a candidate at this time,” Borowski said in a statement.

Borowski was considering a run as a Democrat after Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen decided not to seek a third term.

Given what I know of David Borowski’s efforts to undermine and scapegoat some elements within the criminal justice system in Milwaukee County, I’m not one bit disappointed to see that he’s staying out of the race for Attorney General.
