One surprising election night note

One thing that has surprised me about tonight’s results:

With 20% of the statewide vote having been tallied, John Lehman, the Democratic establishment’s choice for Lt. Governor, has just a 5,000 vote lead (55% to 45% margin) over his opponent Mary Jo Walters. That’s a pretty surprising result, given that Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke is pulling in about 86% of the vote.
